BMR stands for Basal Metabolic Rate.
In normal terms this means how many calories you'd burn if
you did no activity all day. As you get older your BMR reduces
so that is why we need your age in this calculation.
These figures are a guideline only and not to be taken
as medical advice as each person's body is different. If you
are concerned about your weight or if your considering losing
some weight always consult your doctor or physician.
